Short answer
No. The NEET (UG) 2026 bulletin asks for any one ID. Indian nationals can use Aadhaar, an Indian passport number, DigiLocker, a PAN card number or any other valid government photo ID; NRIs, OCI cardholders and foreign nationals use their passport number. NTA does advise using your own Aadhaar, so that you don't have to submit extra documents.

The rule, explained
Permitted IDs: for Indian nationals, Aadhaar Card, Indian Passport Number, DigiLocker, PAN Card Number or any other valid/current Central or State Government photo ID. For Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and foreign nationals, the Passport Number.
Why Aadhaar is suggested: NTA says that in the past, candidates who registered with other IDs had to upload extra documents to prove their identity.
Your live photograph is matched with the Aadhaar database. If it does not match, or if you use an ID other than Aadhaar, you must upload a signed and attested identity certificate with a recent photograph certified by your school/college principal or headmaster, or by a Class-I Gazetted Officer such as a Tehsildar, SDM or DM.
On exam day, you need one original and valid photo ID, such as a PAN card, driving licence, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card, DigiLocker or APAAR ID.
