How do I report to the allotted college after CAP and what is the reporting deadline?

Previous-year referenceApproved by M.B. Patil Education admissions team, 23 Oct 2026 · source-checked 22 Oct 2026

Short answer

After you accept your seat (at an Admission Reporting Centre or through self-scrutiny of your uploaded documents), you report to the college finally allotted to you, pay the fee and submit your original documents there to confirm admission. The deadline is the reporting time in the CAP schedule for that round — the brochure doesn't give fixed dates — and if you can't back up your claims with original documents within that time, you lose the seat.

Based on the State CET Cell's Information Brochure for 2026–27 admissions (dated 02.07.2026). The 2027–28 brochure hasn't been published yet — rules can change, so check it and the round-wise schedule when they are.

Who this applies to

Candidates allotted a first-year B.E./B.Tech. seat through Maharashtra CAP

The rule, explained

Order of steps: you report to the allotted institute only after reporting to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) or completing self-scrutiny of your uploaded documents.

At the college: the institute checks your documents, uploads your admission in the online system and gives you a system-generated receipt confirming admission.

If your original certificates are with another college where you already took admission, bring a certificate from that college's head saying so, with copies attested by that head. You pay the fees at once and can submit the originals within 04 working days after paying.
